B25 Mitchell and Huey & Loach announced for Portrush

It has recently been announced by Airwaves Portrush that the B25 Mitchell from the Royal Netherlands Historic Flight will be attending Airwaves Portrush 2016.

The B25 was Introduced to service in 1941 the B25 is a medium ranged twin engine bomber which served in WWII and operated across 4 decades. This is a fantastic addition to Portrush, which has not seen a B25 since the 2005 Portrush airshow! (Photo from Airwaves Portrush FB & taken by  Robert Jansen.

It was also announced that the Huey and Loach will return to Portrush. Both helicopters are Vietnam war aircraft and will be on static display as well as flying displays on both days. The Huey will also do the traditional poppy drop on Sunday 4th September. (Photo by ourselves at Airwaves Portrush 2015)
