Over the last week a number of aircraft have been confirmed for Airwaves Portrush on the 2nd & 3rd of September 2017.
First up is the fantastic Rich Goodwin and his Pitts Special aircraft that has had everyone watch in amazement as to what his aircraft can do! Rich Goodwin has been to Portrush a few times in the past and has become a massive crowd favourite.
Next up is the Huey and Loach helicopters which have become regular attendees of Portrush over the years. The helicopters are most famous for their service in the Vietnam war and both of these helicopters that will be on display actually saw service in Vietnam! They will also be joining the Wildcat on Static when not displaying!
The Irish Coast Guard S92 will once again be at Portrush in September providing a Search and Rescue Demo, this display is only on one day of the show however it has not been announced if it will display on the Saturday or Sunday yet. The S92 replaced the S61 in service in 2012
And finally the Aerobatic Glider from the Ulster Flying Club will be at Portrush this September. The aircraft will be flown by European Champion, Ian Gallacher. And is returning to Portrush after 4 years. (Picture from Portrush website)
